With their subtle veining and stark white shades, Tuscan marbles have been used by great artists such as Michelangelo to create immortal works that look stunning, and have lasted centuries. These qualities have inspired the Marmi Statuario series which recreates the colours and textures of such marble in a ceramic version. This Italian porcelain has small grey veins contrasting against the vivid white that replicates natural marble, and radiates character and charm, while also making any room feel bigger and lighter. From European Tiles’ Extraordinary range the tiles use up-to-the-minute digital printing technology to create endless surface graphics that sit beautifully on tiles that are characterised by their very large size. The tiles have set designs on them so you can pick identical graphics with a mirror image concept to create new decorative elements, or for a more authentic natural look of a stone floor the designs can be laid randomnly over a large flooring area. They come in two finishes honed and polished. The EXTRAordinary range so called because the slab tile, at 160X320cm, is one of the largest on the market, but at only 6mm thick it is surprisingly light. Other large sizes include the 160x160, 120X240, and 120X120 cm, passing through to range of intermediate sizes at 80x160, 60x120, 60X60 and 80X80 cm.
