Our client approached us to create a spacious feel in both the loft master ensuite, and the main family bathroom, though they had no specific vision in mind, their primary focus was to maximise the size of the bathroom fixtures while still maintaining a sense of openness and functionality.
For the loft master ensuite, we embraced a contemporary, minimalist aesthetic, using clean lines and a restrained palette of materials to create a calm and open atmosphere, with the vaulted ceiling in the space added drama, enhancing the sense of height and airiness.
In contrast, the main bathroom followed a contemporary style with subtle nods to traditional design elements, blending modern functionality with classic touches to align with the home's character.
One of the main challenges was the unique layout of the loft master ensuite, which had a narrow, elongated space with a vaulted ceiling, Fortunately, the room had not been fully created at the outset, allowing us to design by utilising 3D modelling software, providing the builder and bathroom installer with a clear visualisation of the design ahead of time, ensuring the challenging space was used to its full potential.
The client wanted a high-end finish within the constraints of time and budget, therefore we selected mid to high-end brands such as Faeber, AVA, Crosswater, StoneKAST, and HiB, which ensured the final look was luxurious without compromising on quality or functionality.
The design also incorporated custom-wrapped basin units in rustic oak with Corian tops, adding warmth and texture to the contemporary design, while special-order tiles from Spain brought a distinctive, bespoke touch to the main bathroom.
Throughout the design process, we asked detailed questions about the clients preferences, which helped us create a clear vision for the design, where the client felt engaged and invested from start to finish.
