ThermoSphere Foil Underfloor Heating System – high performance heating for wood. Underfloor heating systems have numerous benefits versus radiator based systems. Traditional convection radiators are highly inefficient and distribute heat unevenly, resulting in drafts and temperature variances within in a room. They also have to be set to a higher temperature to achieve the desired comfort level increasing the heat loss and increased energy bills. However, underfloor heating systems provide comfortable, even temperatures within a room whilst being extremely energy efficient with rapid heat up times and accurate temperature control. The double layer of foil is specifically designed to protect the heating element and achieve an even spread of heat to the floor finish. Board thickness is a key consideration and we would recommend a maximum thickness of 18mm and a floor surface temperature of 270C to not be exceeded.
