Here at BathroomsByDesign, we love to get out and about from time to time, especially with the entire team in tow! And, we’re lucky enough to get invited to some fantastic events, including the recent London Scottish Legends’ Dinner, which we attended on Thursday 17th May, at the stunning Hurlingham Club, Fulham.
The event - an end of season charity night - celebrated Rugby’s latest inductees into the London Scottish Hall of Fame; the class of 2018 including former Scottish international Derek White and fellow London Scottish long-standing clubmen Jeremy Macklin and Neal Provan – all three making numerous appearances for the Scottish, becoming pivotal players in their playing days.
And the guest list was pretty impressive too as we were in the presence of Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal, as well as other high-profile guests including Gavin Hastings, highly regarded as one of Scotland’s best ever players and special guest speaker, former Scotland Rugby Union captain Kelly Brown, who treated us to a special performance and spoke of his incredible journey of overcoming a severe stammer to going onto become Captain of Scotland, capturing 64 caps during his career.
Having sponsored a Rugby game in the past, we were delighted to be invited to the event, especially as we have some very passionate Rugby enthusiasts in our ranks! Over the years, BathroomsByDesign have made a conscious effort to support a whole host of local sports clubs, businesses, schools and charities; and our invitation to this prestigious event has been greatly appreciated by all at BathroomsByDesign.
Over the course of the evening, drinks and a delicious three-course meal was served, with everyone in attendance celebrating London Scottish club greats being inducted into the Hall of Fame by former British and Irish Lions’ captain Finlay Calder, and with former British and Irish Lion Any Nicol providing the laughs with his hilarious stories. A night to remember and one of many we look forward to being invited to in the near future.
