Client brief

The client wanted to transform their cloakroom into an atmospheric, tactile sanctuary with a bold colour identity. They envisioned a boutique-hotel aesthetic that paired rich, moody tones with sculptural wall-hung elements to maintain an open, spacious floor plan. Key priorities included a striking focal wash zone, warm hardware, and indirect, ambient lighting to create a memorable experience for guests.

The process

We designed an immersive scheme centred around texture, depth, and warm contrast. The layout features a continuous floating tiled ledge that spans the room, finished in high-gloss Bordeaux-hued tiles that reflect ambient light against the soft, matte plum plaster walls. To preserve an airy floor area and emphasise clean architectural lines, we elevated all key elements off the ground, including a rectangular countertop basin and a wall-hung rimless toilet pan. We unified every hardware detail in rich brushed bronze, from the wall-mounted three-hole basin mixer to the flush plate, bottle trap, and matching accessories.

What we did

Architectural Floating Ledge & Wash Zone: Designed a dramatic wall-to-wall floating bench clad in glossy Bordeaux tilework, hosting a Saneux Sienna rectangular countertop washbasin and a Just Taps Kono wall-mounted three-hole basin mixer in brushed bronze.

Wall-Hung Toilet Installation: Fitted a Faeber Zero rimless wall-hung toilet pan with a soft-close seat, hidden cistern, and a matching Just Taps pneumatic flush plate in brushed bronze.

Brushed Bronze Accent Package: Supplied matching Just Taps hardware throughout, including an exposed bottle trap, universal waste, wall-mounted toilet roll holder, wall-mounted toilet brush holder, and a 300mm grab bar.

Atmospheric Interior Scheme: Designed the space around seamless matte plaster walls, pairing deep Bordeaux tones with rich brushed bronze accents to achieve a moody, boutique aesthetic.
