Bathroom Transformation in Thornton Heath
- Project cost: £7,501 - £10,000
- Project year: 2019
- Country: United Kingdom
In the first episode of the new series of George Clarke’s Old House, New Home which aired on Channel 4 recently, he visits a tiny Edwardian workers cottage in Thornton Heath in South London where a mum of two was desperate for her own bedroom (she currently sleeps in the front room).
The property was so small, it was reminiscent of a dolls house.
Difficult to comprehend how it originally housed ten people!BathroomsByDesign were involved in helping to transform the bathroom of this property by supplying the products which the Interior Designer requested, and the results are fantastic! From an old, dark, compact, messy space, the bathroom has been transformed into an area where natural light beams into the room and there is space is available to manoeuvre.
The bathroom also display great practicality for the mum of two, with a bath screen allowing her to choose between a relaxing soak or invigorating shower experience, basin unit to store bathroom essentials and toiletries and a large vanity mirror to help expand the perception of light and space around the room.
The transformation is amazing, as was the reaction of the mum of two.
George Clarke’s Old House, New Home is available to watch on Channel or on-demand on All 4 where you can re-watch the opening episode featuring the Thornton Heath project.
