The Warm Dune Suite

The client wanted to transform their bathroom into a calm, spa-like sanctuary that balances tactile architectural elements with soft, welcoming organic forms. The brief called for a flexible, open arrangement capable of housing both an indulgent freestanding bathtub and a generous walk-in wet room shower without crowding the room. Key priorities included introducing subtle textural depth through stone surfaces, softening the room's geometry with curved elements, and utilising warm brushed brass brassware to enrich the pale stone palette.

We designed a harmonised spatial layout centred around textural contrast and fluid architectural lines. In the wet zone, we specified European Tiles Slate Stone Sand Ribbed tiles laid vertically to create a tactile feature backdrop that draws the eye upward, complemented by large-format Stone Grain White tiles across the floor and remaining walls. To soften the room’s geometry, we layered curved silhouettes throughout, pairing a BC Designs Viado freestanding bath and a Faeber Zero wall-hung WC with a sweeping 800mm curved fluted vanity in warm walnut. Above the wash station, a circular steam-free halo LED mirror reflects ambient light across the room. Sightlines remain clear thanks to an ultra-minimal Abacus glass screen, with all fixtures unified in Ava brushed brass and complemented by a towel radiator in a soft cappuccino finish.
